The University, double award winner in environment and research at the II SER Navarra Awards

The project Life Respira and the work of biologist Maite Huarte, researcher at CIMA, have been two of the eight selected

Two projects of the University of Navarra have been awarded result in the II edition of the Ser Navarra Awards, promoted by the radio station to recognize the work and the trajectory of the winners in different fields. On this occasion, two of the eight awards went to the project Life Respira - led by professors from the School of Sciences and Communication - and to the biologist from the University of Navarra, Maite Huarte, a former student of the University of Navarra. As detailed by the radio station in its grade press release, the award 2018 in the Environment category has recognized Life Respira "for its demonstration that riding a bicycle on the road increases up to 40% the pollution received and even represents about 120 hospital admissions per year", as made public by its managers in the presentation of the results of the study, last December.

In the case of the category of research, Cadena Ser Navarra highlighted the degree program of the graduate in Biology from the University, Maite Huarte, researcher at CIMA, for her work in cancer recognized with the scholarship Consolidator Grant from the committee of Europe of research, which will allow her to continue with her projects at research center.

The submission awards ceremony will take place on January 31 in the auditorium of the University of Navarra Museum.
