The University of Navarra's School in Economics has been re-accredited with the EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System) seal. Awarded for the first time in 2018, it is granted by the European Foundation for Management development (EFMD) to those educational institutions and business schools that stand out for their quality in higher education in management and business administration.

To obtain the distinction, institutions must demonstrate high overall quality in ten areas covering all dimensions of their activities. The seal places the School of Economics of the University of Navarra as an international reference in "ethics, responsibility and sustainability". goal It also recognises, among other aspects, "the design, quality and academic rigour of its programmes", its "international character" and its "commitment to students" through the mentoring programme, whose aim is to accompany student throughout its degree program.

EQUIS has accredited 204 institutions in the world recognised by academics and business professionals. Only four other Spanish centres, all of them business schools, including IESE of the University of Navarra, have obtained the accreditation.

For Dean, Ignacio Ferrero, this recognition means "the reaffirmation of the work that has been done at School for more than thirty years, based on the pursuit of excellence and service to society". In this sense, he highlighted the "fundamental" work of the faculty professor, the administration and services staff, as well as the students and alumni in achieving this seal of approval.
