La Universidad de Navarra, el Planetario de Pamplona y la Asociación Española de Genética Humana celebraron el Día del ADN
The University of Navarra, the Pamplona Planetarium and the association Española de Genetics Humana celebrated DNA Day.
The School of Sciences of the University of Navarra, the Planetarium of Pamplona and the Spanishassociation of Genetics Human celebrated, for the first time in the Community of Navarra, the DNA Day.
On this occasion, Professor Ángel Carracedo -Full Professor of Legal Medicine at the University of Santiago de Compostela, world expert in Forensic Genetics and award "Rey Jaime I" of research Medical in 2009 - gave the lecture "What can we know thanks to DNA?", which brought together more than 70 people at the Planetarium of Pamplona.
In addition, the Planetarium itself hosted a exhibition with several information panels created by scientists to explain the functions of DNA and chromosomes. Finally, attendees were able to collaborate in the construction of a giant chain of Deoxyribonucleic Acid, made of paper.
