More than 1,400 people from the University travel to Madrid for attend to attend the beatification of Bishop Álvaro del Portillo.

A total of 1,450 people travel to Valdebebas, Madrid, to participate in the beatification mass of the second Chancellor of the University.

The University of Navarra, through its colleges, Schools and other centers, has organized trips to attend to the beatification of Bishop Álvaro del Portillo, which will be celebrated tomorrow, Saturday, the 27th, in Valdebebas, Madrid.

A total of 1,450 people from the University will travel to the capital to participate in the Mass for the beatification of the man who was the principal partner of St. Josemaría Escrivá and the second Chancellor of the University.

Students, faculty and other staff, as well as their families, will travel on organized day trips or on longer two-day (Friday and Saturday) or full-weekend arrangements. The plans at the colleges are intended primarily for students, while those at Schools, schools and centers are open to students, faculty and staff with family and friends.

With the University plan, which includes Medicine, Law and the Clinic, approximately 450 people will travel. Meanwhile, 1,000 students will attend the trips of the colleges and university clubs, 190 of whom will volunteer to help with the organization (order and mobility). 

The beatification Mass will take place on Saturday 27 at 12:00 noon and will be presided over by Cardinal Angelo Amato, Prefect of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints. Thousands of people from 80 countries are expected to attend.
