Students from Master's Degree European Food, Nutrition and Metabolism attended the meeting, organized by the Nutrition Society.
18 students from the EuropeanMaster's Degree in Food, Nutrition and Metabolism (E-MENU) of the University of Navarra attended the Nutrition Winter Meeting in London, a quotation organized by the Nutrition Society, which this year had as its theme per diem expenses, nutrition, mental health and wellbeing.
This activity is one of the three international outings that the students of Master's Degree E-MENU carry out as Master's Degree European. The other two are the attendance Nutrition & Neurosciences Meeting (Bordeaux-France) and the European Summer School.
During their stay in London, the students were accompanied by postgraduate program professorsAlfredo Martínez and Diana Ansorena. As Professor Ansorena recalls, the plenary lectures attended by the students of postgraduate program highlighted the influence of food and nutrition on mood, behavior and certain neurodegenerative diseases: "The speakers of this international quotation stressed that the aging of the population causes pathologies such as dementia and depression -associated with other risk factors such as obesity-, causing a progressive deterioration in the quality of life in the elderly. That is why a good diet, together with other public health strategies, can be one of the keys to improving their state of health".
