The School de Enfermería celebrates the II Annual meeting of Advances in Nursing. research

The participants presented the thesis doctoral programs being developed at the academic center.

The School of Nursing of the University of Navarra hosted the II Annual meeting of Advances in research. A conference in which the doctoral students of the academic center had the opportunity to present the development of their work.

A total of 11 doctoral papers were presented at thesis , including those of Andrea Iriarte Roteta, "development del rol de enfermería en prevención y promoción de la salud" ( of the role of nursing in prevention and health promotion); Blanca Egea Campillo, "¿Qué nos está pasando? Impact and functioning of families living with congenital heart disease"; or "Parental self-efficacy as an instrument favoring healthy lifestyle habits in children aged between two and five years" by Cayetana Ruíz Zaldíbar.

As highlighted by the organizer committee , composed by Cristina Alfaro, Jesús Martín and María Pueyo; "the meeting has a great richness not only at an academic level but also staff as it allows to share the different and diverse experiences that the doctoral students have lived throughout their thesis and that is a whole learning process".

In addition, the fact that the event is open to students of postgraduate program, interns and other disciplines, financial aid to disseminate the research in Nursing as well as to "know directly the projects of thesis of the School, the motivations of the speakers and solve doubts of the attendees about their academic future".

Research, a necessary activity for everyone

Precisely, one of the participants, Noelia García Rueda, who spoke about her work "The experience of living with cancer in advanced stages", has already deposited her doctoral thesis . For her, these conference are not only interesting but necessary "to discover phenomena of common interest among us and to create a group to which we can turn to strengthen our own research and that of our colleagues".

In addition, according to the doctoral student, "research is useful and necessary for all nursing professionals, not only for those who choose the academic degree program . In fact, it is the central axis that allows both the clinical and academic internship to develop simultaneously".
