The School of Theology of the University of Navarra has organized a conference workshop on the encyclicals Humanae vitae and Veritatis splendor. It will take place on May 23, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the publication of the first encyclical by Blessed Paul VI, and the 25th anniversary of the second, written by St. John Paul II.

Directed to a general public, the first session, "50th anniversary of Humanae vitae", will be given by Augusto Sarmiento, who will speak about "The roots of dissent and the acceptance of Humanae vitae"; Cristina López del Burgo, who will focus her intervention on questions related to "Paternity manager and family planning"; and José María Pardo, who will participate with a exhibition under the degree scroll "Walking in the truth towards sanctity". It will be held from 9:30 am to 11:00 am. Afterwards, there will be a break until 11:30.

The second roundtable, "25th anniversary of Veritatis splendor", will feature speakers Tomás Trigo, who will speak on the relationship between "Truth and freedom"; Daniel Granada, who will present topic on "Conscience and prudence"; and Enrique Molina, whose intervention will focus on "Following Christ. The moral object in a Christian morality". It will take place from 11:30 to 13:00.

At 13:10 the closing lecture will be held at position by Bishop Mario Iceta, Bishop of Bilbao and President of the Episcopal Subcommittee of Family and Life of the Spanish Episcopal lecture .

Schools The event will take place from 9:15 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. at the Ecclesiastical Building of the University of Navarra, and is free of charge attendance.
