25 students from Kenya take a course on research at Economics from development organized by NCID

They come from Strathmore University and will spend two weeks attending sessions with experts from Institute for Culture and Society and School in Economics.

From March 27th to April 7th, 25 students from Strathmore University (Kenya) are taking a course on research at Economics of development organized by the Navarra Center for International Development (NCID) of the Institute for Culture and Society (ICS).

During these two weeks, students have the opportunity to attend to sessions given by experts from ICS and School of Economics of the University of Navarra.

They address issues such as methods and techniques for policy evaluation, which are currently used in the literature at Economics of development; the role of history, institutions and geography in the developmentThe paper addresses issues such as: the role of history, institutions, and geography in the development of the economy; time series analysis applied to countries at development; international technology transfer and foreign investment ; work markets and business cycles; natural resources and human capital; the performance of women in the marketplace; and the relationship between work and family preferences, among other topics.

Also, on the last day of the course, students will be able to present their work at research.
