The MUG brings together 40 experts from the pharma-biotech sector to discuss the growth areas in the industry and the main employment opportunities
The conference program has allowed the students to initiate a network of professional contacts and to identify objectives for their development employment.

The UniversityMaster's Degree in management of Pharma-Biotech Companies of the School of Pharmacy and Nutrition ends its five months of academic training , in which a total of 40 conferences have been given to position of professionals in the sector in order to bring students closer to the reality of the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sector so that they can learn from the experience of different professionals.
Esperanza Regueras, deputy director of Master's Degree and manager of the Conferences program indicates that "they are an excellent opportunity" to start making a network of professional contacts. "They also help students to identify objectives for their professional degree program and serve to see the application internship of the knowledge acquired in the subjects," she explains.
However, although this conference program is linked to the academic part of Master's Degree, it is not part of Study program. "In this way we achieve greater dynamism, which allows us to adapt the sessions annually, taking into account changes in the sector, booming areas or the main employment opportunities that our students can access," comments Regueras.
The conferences began on October 10 with Jaime del Barrio, Senior Advisor Healthcare & Life Sciences at E&Y and ended on February 21 with a session by Jesús Aguilar, president of committee General de Farmacéuticos. Other participants included José Cabrera, director doctor at Bristol Myers; Javier del Río, Strategic Account at Medtronic; Jesús San Miguel, director doctor at Clínica Universidad de Navarra; Pascual Arellano, Oncology Business Unit Director at Lilly; Juan Matji, CEO of Cantabria Labs; Ramón Villamarín, CEO of Shionogy; Olga Fidalgo, Corporate Director Licensing & Business Development at Ferrer and Patricia Aberasturi and Daniel Suárez, from Business Intelligence at Roche, among others. In addition, the students were joined by the heads of the three most important associations in the sector: FARMAINDUSTRIA, ASEBIO and FENIN, at visit .
These conferences have been complemented with sessions at training in professional competencies (soft skills) and three focused, which are monographic courses on current topics. This year's topics were Project Management, Market Access and Social Entrepreneurship.
