InnoUP Farma, business led by a doctor of the School of Pharmacy, wins the award Emprendedor XXI

InnoUP Farma, business led by Maite Agüeros, PhD. of the University of Navarra's Pharmacy School , has won the award Emprendedor XXI. In January 2014 she created it together with Manuel Rodríguez Mariscal, also a doctor of the academic center and former student of IESE; and Juan Manuel Irache, Full Professor of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Technology of the School.
This company is dedicated to nanotechnology innovation with the goal to develop new drugs that, delivered orally, fight cancer while being more effective, safer and less toxic than current chemotherapy treatments.
With the award Emprendedor XXI, InnoUP Farma has been recognized as the business Navarra with the greatest growth potential in Spain. The award is awarded by La Caixa and the Ministry of Industry and Tourism, with the participation of the Government of Navarra through CEIN (European Business Innovation Center) and SODENA (Society of development of Navarra). The award consists of an economic endowment of 5,000 euros and participation in a program of accompaniment and international networking, with stays in relevant centers such as the University of Cambridge, Tel Aviv, Silicon Valley and New York.
