223 students from 41 countries are trained at the University thanks to the financial aid of the CARF Foundation.
A group of 35 benefactors visited on May 26 the Ecclesiastical Schools and the seminar International Bidasoa
A group of 35 benefactors of the Roman Academic Center Foundation (CARF) visited on Friday, May 26th the campus of Pamplona of the University. Along the workshop they cou ld know theSchools Ecclesiastical and the seminar International Bidasoa, where the seminarians and priests are formed to whom they provide financial aid economic for fill in its training. Throughout this academic year 2022/23, the CARF Foundation has allocated 2,106,689 euros in grants for accommodation and enrollment.
During the visit, besides being able to personally greet some of the students who receive this economic financial aid , they had a meeting with the Dean of the Ecclesiastical School Philosophy , Santiago Collado. On behalf of the three ecclesiastical Schools , he thanked them for their financial aid and reminded them of the necessary work they do. Thanks to them, 223 students from 41 countries on five continents have been trained this year. Also participating in the meeting were the Vice President of Students, Rosalía Baena, and the assistant to the Vice President of Students, Teresa Domingo.
During the session they were able to hear first hand the testimony of two students of the University who are being trained thanks to the financial aid provided by this foundation: Rolvin Capistramo, from Virac in the Philippines and student of the School of Canon Law; and Renel Prosper, from Fort Liberté in Haiti and student of the School of Theology.
The CARF Foundation was born in 1989 under the impulse of Blessed Alvaro del Portillo, so that priests and seminarians from all over the world receive a solid theological, human and spiritual preparation in the Ecclesiastical Schools of the University of Navarra and the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross (Rome). Each year, more than 10,000 benefactors make this possible.
