St. Josemaría Escrivá, his influence on the history of the 20th century
The researcher Onésimo Díaz participated in a colloquium in Burgos in which he emphasized the influence of St. Josemaría in the history of the 20th century and his deep connection with the city.

On the occasion of the feast of St. Josemaría Escrivá, the parish dedicated to his name in Burgos organized a colloquium on June 25. At this event, Onésimo Díaz, Deputy Director of the programs of study Josemaría Escrivá Center, shared his knowledge on the life and work of the Aragonese saint.
At exhibition, Díaz explained the importance of Burgos in Escrivá's life and in Opus Dei's development . He also recounted some little-known anecdotes about St. Josemaría's stay in Burgos between 1938 and 1939, and mentioned personalities of the time who influenced his life.
Diaz also highlighted the leading role that Christians have in the vitalization of the world and the awareness that we are all called to a holiness based on the strong coherence between faith and daily life.
The following day, the Archbishop of Burgos, D. Mario Iceta, celebrated a Mass in the same parish, which was attended by many people.
