During the Annual Assembly of the association Spanish CanonistsProfessor José Bernal was elected as the new board member . Professor José Antonio Fuentes continues to be a member of the board Board of Directors as treasurer.

 

 

 

Activities in the Schools

During the month of April, two doctoral thesis were defended at the Schools Eclesiasticas. They were those of Ferrán Canet, entitled 'La dimensión moral de la cuestión ecológica' (April 20); and Álvaro Lozano Platonoff, on 'La representación en la Philosophy de Thomas Reid' (April 25). Also Isabel López-Barajas presented her thesis of licentiate degree under the degree scroll 'El patrimonio religioso granadino como resource didáctico'.

 

 

Off-site activities Schools

 
Professors José Ramón Villar, Carmen José Alejos and Vicente Balaguer intervened in the International congress 'The Second Vatican Council, the permanent value of a reform for the new evangelization', which took place at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross. School Theology Department of the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome.in Rome.

 

 

 

Joaquín Sedano, professor of the School of Canon Lawparticipated in the International lecture "The teaching of the History of the Canon Law", which brought together experts from Italy, Spain, France and Canada at the School from Canon Law San Pio Xin Venice.

 

 

 

Juan Ignacio Bañares, professor at the School of Canon Law, presented the discussion paper 'Il senso della discrezione di giudizio di cui al can. 1095, 2º', within the XVI Convegno di Diritto Canonico 'Discrezione di giudizio e capacità di assumere: la formulazione del canone 1095', organized by the Pontifical Pontifical University of Rome.organized by the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross (Rome).

 

 

 

 

Juan Luis Lorda, professor of department of Systematic Theology, held meetings and interviews with various written and audiovisual media in Poland, including TV and Radio Lublin, Radio Merkury, Radio Emaus, the magazine Przewodnik Katolicki, TV Trwam, Radio Maryja, Polskie Radio, the magazine Idziemy and Radio Warsaw. Two of Professor Lorda's books have been translated into Polish: Humanismo: los bienes invisibles and Para ser cristiano.

 

Fermín Labarga, professor of department of Historical Theology and expert in popular religiosity, broadcast live on COPE the Good Friday procession in Logroño. He was accompanied by the Riojan journalist Chema Jodrá.
