Mirko Abbritti and Isabel Rodríguez Tejedo, new vice-deans of School of Economics
Francisco Galera, Associate Dean since 2008, leaves his position and returns fully to his teaching, research and advisory duties.
The President has appointed Mirko Abbritti and Isabel Rodríguez Tejedo as vice-deans of the School of Economics.
Mirko Abbritti is a professor at department of Economics and director of the Master in Economics and Finance program, of which he is also Deputy Director. Prof. Abbritti is graduate in Economics (2002) at the Università di Perugia. He is also Master's Degree in International Office (2005) and Phd in International Economics (2010) from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (GIIDS, Geneva, Switzerland). He is an expert of the "Bilateral Assistance and Capacity Building for Central Banks (BCC)" program of GIIDS and the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO). He has been consultant of the European Central Bank and has published in some of the most prestigious journals in the field of Monetary Policy and Macroeconomics, such as the Journal of Monetary Economics and the Journal of Money Credit and Banking.
Isabel Rodríguez Tejedo holds a degree in Economics from the University of Valladolid and a PhD from the University of Maryland. To date, she has been deputy director of the Degree in Economics, Leadership and Governance and is an associate professor at department at Economics. Prior to joining the University, she worked at the World Bank and the University of Maryland. She is deputy director of department at Economics.
Francisco Galera, Associate Dean since 2008, leaves his position and fully reincorporates to his teaching, research and advisory duties at department of Economics. The Office of the Executive Council is grateful for his extraordinary effort in the board management of the School, in his first stage as Associate Dean of students and Office of Academic Affairs in which the Degree in Economics, Leadership & Governance was launched and later in research, focused on the promotion of the two lines of the School: Banking for Society and Industry for Society.
