Seven graduates of the University get award National End of degree program

The winners of the area biosanitary and engineering awards stand out.

Seven graduates of the University of Navarra have been distinguished with the award Nacional Fin de degree program 2013-2014, awarded by the Ministry of Education and training Professional to the best records in the country. Among them, the first prizes obtained by the Navarrese Rodrigo Sánchez Bayona in Medicine and José Luis Bueno in Industrial Engineering stand out.

result In addition, Jon Lerga Jaso, graduate at Biochemistry , who obtained a second prize award, and several third prizes including Alejandra Uriz Iglesias, in Biology; Javier Preciado Goldaracena, in Pharmacy; Juncal Arbelaiz Múgica, in Industrial Technologies Engineering; and Tarek Ajami Fardoun, also in Medicine.

All the award winners are from Navarre except Juncal Arbelaiz, a native of Irun, Tarek Ajami Fardoun, from Lebanon, and José Luis Bueno, who is of Asturian origin although he lived in Pamplona during high school. He is currently working on his doctoral thesis , which he will defend next year. "I am grateful," he said, "to all the people who have made it possible, to my professors at TECNUN-University of Navarra, who make engineering accessible and, of course, to my family. Moreover, although I knew that I could be awarded, it was still a pleasant surprise".

Rodrigo Sánchez Bayona, born in Tudela, is doing the spanish medical residency program in the department of Medical Oncology of the University of Navarra. Clínica Universidad de Navarra. "I have received this recognition with illusion because it is difficult to achieve among the large number of good dossiers that are presented and also as a stimulus to continue studying and researching".

The Premios Nacionales Fin de degree program are awarded on the basis of transcript academic and other curricular merits. The Ministry has awarded on this occasion 57 prizes in each category (first, second and third) endowed with 3,300 euros, 2,650 euros and 2,200 euros respectively.
