Un graduado de la Facultad de Teología de la Universidad de Navarra, nombrado obispo auxiliar de la archidiócesis de San Salvador de Bahía
A graduate of the School of Theology of the University of Navarra, appointed auxiliary bishop of the archdiocese of San Salvador de Bahía.
Bishop Gilson Andrade da Silva, graduate from the School of Theology at the University of Navarra, has been appointed auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of San Salvador de Bahía (Brazil).
Bishop Andrade da Silva was born on September 11, 1966 in Rio de Janeiro. He was ordained a priest on August 4, 1991. He studied Philosophy in Brazil (1985-1988), graduated in Theology at campus in Pamplona (1988-1991) and received his doctorate at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross (Rome).
He is also a professor of Ethics and Theology at the Catholic University of Petrópolis and at the seminar of Our Lady of Divine Love in Petrópolis. In 2004 he assumed the Rectory of seminar, which he has held to date.
