Five new professors at School in Economics

Five new professors have joined the academic staff of the School of Economics of the University of Navarra. Asier Aguilera-Bravo and Guillem Ripoll, are part of the department of Economics. Goretti Cabaleiro, José Azar and Jiyuan Dai have started their teaching and research at department of business.

Asier Aguilera-Bravo holds a PhD in Economics (Cum Laude) from the Public University of Navarra. He is also Master's Degree in Economics from Washington University in St. Louis (USA) and Master's Degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Navarra. Professor Aguilera-Bravo has complemented his academic training with a stay at the University of Pennsylvania (USA) and by attending courses organized by the Bank of France, CEMFI and the Study Center Gerzensee (Switzerland). His research focuses on issues related to Macroeconomics and Monetary Economics .

Guillem Ripoll holds a PhD in Politics, Policy and International Office from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). Previously, he studied a Master's Degree at research in Political Science at Pompeu Fabra University (UPF) and a licentiate degree in Political Science and management Public (UAB). Her research revolves around the expansion of the concept of public service motivation; specifically, she researches the relationship between motivation and ethics. She has been an assistant to teaching for courses such as research Techniques or public administration and public policy.

Goretti Cabaleiro holds an international PhD, accredited specialization Cum Laude, in Economics of the business and Quantitative Methods from Universidad Carlos III. She has spent periods of research at Boston University (USA) and Bocconi University (Italy). With a postgraduate degree in Mastering Design Thinking from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, MIT, Sloan School of Management (USA). He has more than 10 years of international experience professor , in Degrees, in postgraduate courses and in training online at the Alberto Hurtado University, at the European University of Madrid in Chile (IEDE) and at the Carlos III University of Madrid. During the last five years, she has also been an evaluator of research projects and grants at the National Commission for Scientific and Technological research of the Government of Chile. Her priority lines of research are management strategic innovation, technology markets and business strategy. Her research has been published in journals such as Technovation or Industrial Corporate Change.

José Azar holds a PhD from Princeton University. He worked at Charles River Associates in Antitrust and Competition Practice and later joined IESE Business School. He is an economist specializing in antitrust and corporate governance. His work studies the implications for skill of increased common ownership of companies by large and diversified asset managers. Recently, he has conducted research on concentration and power in the labor market. He is a Research Affiliate of the think tank Center for Economic and Policy Research (CEPR) and a member of Economics for Inclusive Prosperity (EfIP). 

Jiyuan Dai holds a bachelor's degree in finance from Northeast Agricultural University (China), a Master's Degree degree in accounting, management finance and control from Bocconi University (Italy) and a doctorate in management from IESE Business School. Her interests of research are corporate governance, banking supervision and enforcement.
