8,000 students at Degree start their classes
More than 1,700 students started their first year, 14% of them international students
8,000 students from Degree will begin the academic year at the University of Navarra tomorrow, Tuesday, January 1. In total, the academic center will have more than 11,000 students from Degree, doctorate and postgraduate program.
In addition, more than 1,700 new first-year students will begin classes, 14% of them international (234). This academic year 2015-2016, the University of Navarra offers 56 Degrees - 2 more than in 2014-2015 - of which 12 are double and 9 are bilingual, and 34 master's degrees. As a novelty, the Degree of Humanities Bilingual and International Office will be offered.
Opening DaysIn addition to the start of classes, the 2015 Welcomeworkshop has been organized for tomorrow, with the goal to show the first-year students the activities they can carry out during their years at programs of study and to share with them the values and ideas of the University.
The meeting, which will start at 19h., will gather about twenty stands where students will be offered information about the Cultural Activities Office, solidarity, social and sports activities.
At 8 p.m., group Striving Possibles, formed by Ignacio Garay (guitar), Agustín Echavarría (bass), Pablo Cobreros (guitar), Ana Watson (vocals) and Rubén Solla (drums), will perform. In addition, four food trucks from an external business will be selling American and Tex-Mex food on the Science and Communication esplanades, from 12 noon to 6 pm.
