101 students have participated in the 20th edition of the University's Senior Program.

The closing lecture was given by Mons. Francisco Pérez, Archbishop of Pamplona and Bishop of Tudela.

The University of Navarra has celebrated the closing ceremony of the 20th edition of the Senior Program, in which 101 people have participated during this academic year. The event was attended by Rosalía Baena, Vice President for Students; Viviana Alegre, coordinator of the Program; Mario Pereira, sponsor of the graduating class; and Jesús María Beitia, student spokesperson.

lecture Francisco Pérez González, Archbishop of Pamplona and Bishop of Tudela, gave the closing address at degree scroll "The Church of Navarra in perspective". The bishop spoke about the main problems of today's society, which, in his opinion, are three: "The lack of a sense of transcendence, the decrease in the birth rate and mental health". He also emphasized the importance of the family: "It is the most beautiful and the greatest thing, and for me, it has been the main university. Without it, society is adrift". 

The Senior Program, aimed at people who have reached or are about to reach the age of 50, tries to respond to the demands of the elderly in relation to their permanent update knowledge and active participation in society, through thematic blocks that alternate with complementary activities such as visits to museums, lecture series, social gatherings and cultural trips.

Among the topics addressed in this edition were Navarre literature, Spain's international politics, the challenges in the 5G world, the history of architecture, classical culture, Criminal Law, digital culture, etc.
