Professor of Ancient History and Archaeology of the University of Navarra Javier Andreu and Luis Romero, student of the doctoral program at Arts and Humanities of the School of Philosophy and Lettersparticipated last week in Tarragona, in the II International congress of Archaeology and Ancient World, which this year was dedicated to "Augustus and the Western provinces: archaeological novelties": There they presented the study of three imperial Julio-Claudian portraits discovered in the excavation of this last summer at the site of Los Bañales, in which several students from the University of Navarra participated.

They are a portrait of Germanicus, another of Drusus and the fragment of a third that could be of the emperor Tiberius or even of Augustus himself. They were placed in the Roman city of Los Bañales at a vague moment between 14 and 19 A.D., probably.

Tarraco Biennal is a quotation of novelties in Archaeology and Ancient History, organized by the Institut Català d'Arqueologia Clàssicawhich takes place every two years.
