Sofía Brotóns went to the Etxabakoitz Workshop School for adolescents at risk of exclusion in Pamplona to give an informative session on the project of her doctoral thesis . In addition, she collected narratives written by the adolescents for her research. (10/01/2018, Pamplona). She carried out the same activities at the Puente Center for adolescents at risk of exclusion (22/01/2018, Puente La Reina).
Dámaso Izquierdo presented the paper 'Disauthorization of the speech and populism in the French political context. Comparative analysis of disavowing mechanisms in the speech of the Front National, Parti Socialiste and Les Républicains' at the XLVII Symposium of the Spanish Society of Linguistics of the University of Alicante, (Alicante 23-26/01/2018).

Joseph Gomes attended the workshop "The Micro and Macro Foundations of Conflict" organized by the University of Bath, where he presented the paper 'The Reach of Radio: Ending Civil Conflict Through Rebel Demobilization' (Bath, UK, 19-20/01/2018).
