The University's Olympic Centre programs of study celebrates 4th Olympic Sports Week
The Week begins with a drawing contest in which more than 3,600 children from 18 Pamplona schools participate
The Olympic programs of study Center of the University of Navarra, in partnership with the City Council of Pamplona, the association Navarra de Clubs Collegiate Sports (ANACCOLDE), Itaroa Shopping Center and Itaroa Cinemas, celebrates the IV Olympic Sports Week.
The initiative aims to disseminate the values of sport, in addition to promoting the exchange of ideas on issues related to Olympism. To this end, various activities have been organized, in which both adults and children will be able to participate.
Under the slogan"How do you imagine the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro 2016?", 3,630 children from 18 schools in Pamplona are taking part in the 4th Children's Drawing Competition on the Olympic Games. From this Friday, March 4, until Sunday 20, family, friends and all those who come to the Itaroa Shopping Center can visit the exhibition of the 300 finalist drawings on the main floor.
The jury will announce the name of the winners on Friday 11, at 18:30 h., in the conference room cinema of the C.C Itaroa. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd award will consist of a diploma and a commemorative trophy. In addition, the high school that has delivered the highest issue of drawings will also be awarded.
Also, on Saturday 12, at 12:00 noon, children participating in the drawing contest will be able to attend the free screening of the movie "The Perfect Game" at the Itaroa Cinemas, where several gifts will be raffled.
To attend the session it is necessary to have collected the corresponding invitations (up to a maximum of 5 per person) at sports center of the University of Navarra. Invitations will be given out until fill in . Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Roundtables with swimmer Thaïs Henríquez and coach Manolo ColomaOn Tuesday 8, at 19:30 h., in the Civivox of Iturrama will take place a roundtable with three Olympians: Thaïs Henríquez, synchronized swimmer; Juan Peralta, track cyclist; and Javier Gómez, triathlete. During the session, they will share with attendees their testimonies as Olympians. The entrance is free of charge.
The IV Olympic Sports Week continues with a multisport schoolmeeting , which will take place on Wednesday, March 9, at 4:30 p.m., at high school Maristas de Sarriguren. The activity, aimed at students in 2nd and 3rd Infant and 1st Primary of ANACCOLDE schools, aims to promote the values of sport among the families of the centers of the association.
On Thursday, March 10, at 19:30 h., will take place at high school Liceo Monjardín the lecture "Coaching young people is more than a degree scroll". It will be given by Manolo Coloma, senior basketball coach and specialist in high performing. The talk is aimed at coaches, trainers, technicians and sports coaches.
