The University of Navarra is the fourth best university in Spain, according to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2021. It also ranks among the 300 best universities in the world, according to the seventeenth edition of the ranking.

Overall, the University of Navarra is in the 250-300 range. For the ranking it analyzes its performance in five areas: teaching, research, citations among academics, industry revenue and international outreach. The ranking especially highlights the strength of the University of Navarra in the indicators of citations among academics, its international outlook and research industry-related revenues.

In this edition THE World University Ranking has compared more than 2,000 universities from more than 93 countries around the world, of which 1,527 have been ranked. In its study THE has employee more than 22,000 academic surveys, 13 million articles and more than 86 million citations from the last five years thanks to Elsevier's bibliometric information. Five new Spanish universities have made it into the Times Higher Education rankings, bringing the total to 50. This makes Spain the second most represented country in Europe in the ranking, after the United Kingdom, and the seventh in the world.

"The ranking seems relevant to us because it recognizes two of the great fundamental efforts of the University of Navarra in recent years: that of the research of quality and impact, and the effort to incorporate the international vision to all our activity," said the director of the Rankings Unit of the University of Navarra, Iñaki de Lorenzo.
