The University of Navarra ranks 35th in the world in employability, according to the Global Employability University Ranking and Survey (GEURS) 2026, prepared by the consulting firm Emerging for Times Higher Education.

The ranking is based exclusively on the opinions of more than 12,350 employers from 32 countries and 22 business sectors, who cast more than 119,000 votes. In addition to choosing among the top 10-15 universities, employers must indicate the decisive factors that determine their choices among seven employability drivers: professional experience, graduate competencies, specialization, social impact and leadership, academic performance, international projection and reputation. According to the consulting firm, the survey participants have recruited more than 312,000 young graduates in 2025. In total, 250 universities are ranked out of a possible 1,000 that can be voted on.

Second in Spain

The position achieved by the University of Navarra places it second in Spain in employability, among the seven Spanish universities included in the ranking. Only IE University and the University of Navarra are among the top 50 in the world. By country, the United States (52 universities), Germany (19) and France (18) lead the ranking in terms of the issue of institutions classified.

In the 24-25 academic year, the Internship and employment Service of the University of Navarra managed nearly 7,000 internships and collaborated with more than 1,500 companies. Almost half of the internships were in Navarra and 3.8% in other countries. It also provided more than 3,000 personalized counseling sessions and 7,200 people attended training sessions.

Alfonso Vericat, director of the Service, expressed his satisfaction with the results, in which the University improved two positions with respect to the previous edition. "It is a reason for joy because it confirms that the work we do from the Service and the University is on the right track. As a University we are a bridge between university talent and the business world. It is necessary to be in contact with both ends of the bridge to know what companies need, what skills they are demanding and, on the other hand, to transmit those needs and those skills to our students".
