El COIINA expone una muestra sobre el anteproyecto de calefacción urbana para Pamplona de Joaquín Castiella en 1961
The COIINA exhibits a sample on the preliminary urban heating project for Pamplona by Joaquín Castiella in 1961.
The exhibition is the result of a research of the University of Navarra that seeks to improve the performance of energy systems in buildings and cities.
The high school Oficial de Ingenieros Industriales de Navarra (COIINA) hosts, in its conference room de Usos Múltiples de la calle Arrieta nº 11, a exhibition entitled "Anteproyecto de Calefacción Urbana en Pamplona", work signed in 1961 by the industrial engineer Joaquín Castiella.
The sample is composed of panels that collect plans and documents from the department of Building of the School of Architecture of the University of Navarra, and coordinated by the professor of the academic center César Martín Gómez. Doctoral students Beatriz Caballero and María Eguaras have also participated in the design .
"This preliminary project was deposited at the University of Navarra when the author, Joaquín Castiella, was a professor at the center," explains César Martín Gómez. "Our intention is to make the documentation available to urban planning and urban energy infrastructure professionals and technicians," he adds.
The idea arises from the line of research 'Integration of facilities and energy in architecture and urban planning' that the School of Architecture is carrying out. The aim of the study is to improve the performance of existing energy systems in buildings and cities.
