graduate in ADE at School of Economics, Salvo shared on the Day of the patron saint his experience on the journey through the global water crisis, a problem that today affects 740 million people.

After three and a half years as Financial Analyst &Trader in Polaris, California; a Master's Degree in Berckley, and the Degree of ADE in our University, Eduardo Salvo, passionate about climbing, could say that he had conquered his cima. However, one day, together with Koke, Diego and Chechu, "his lifelong friends", as he defines them, he decided to travel the world for a cause of solidarity: the world water crisis. Two years later, Edu and his friends have traveled through eleven countries and have given access to drinking water to more than 15,000 people for the next ten years.

Helping, educating and promote are the objectives set by the members of The Water Van Project in the fight to combat the global water crisis, the fifth leading cause of death in the world. "We not only want to provide drinking water but also to educate people. If you give them a water filter but don't explain to them the importance of using it, they will stop using it," stresses Salvo. By means of drinking water filters; seminars on hygiene and the use of water manager ; and the promotion of solidarity activities, these four friends have visited towns such as Chiapa, in Mexico; Antigua Guatemala, in Guatemala; Esmeralda, in Ecuador or Cuzco in Peru. As an originality, they have not done it alone, but in their van: "the water van"; with thousands of micro-donations online and through local NGOs.

In addition to the social work, with which they have distributed a total of 914 filters and changed the water uses of 27 schools and 1,200 families in 9-month trips, Edu, Koke, Diego and Chechu have been able to visit paradisiacal places and continue with their hobbies such as climbing, photography or mountaineering in excursions such as the ascent of the Acatenango volcano in Guatemala. "Every day, when we went to work, we knew that when we finished we were going to climb that volcano, and the beauty of the places we were in was part of our motivation," says Salvo.

However, when asked what you have learned in The Water Van Project, Salvo does not hesitate: "I have learned to give without expecting anything in return. Knowing that you only expect people's gratitude. At Polaris, in the finance sector, I learned a lot, but at The Water Van Project I have learned to work in an incredible environment of work , to work with friends and with people who really do what they like".
