The Center for Industrial Technology development (CDTI) organized from February 16 to 20 in Dubai a session at framework of the Innovation Summit Gulfood 2020 to promote the Spanish food sector in North Africa and the Middle East.
Carlos J. González Navarro, director of Innovation of the research center in Nutrition of the University of Navarra, participated with the discussion paper "Nutrition Science: a great opportunity for food Industry". During the session, current topics such as the Mediterranean per diem expenses and life expectancy, innovation and development of new food products and how nutrition science can benefit the food industry were discussed.
Gulfood is the largest trade fair in the Middle East dedicated to the food industry and one of the largest in the world. Estimated participation numbers are 5,000 exhibitors and 95,000 professionals from 185 countries.
