The group of research TriviUN (Theater, Literature and Visual Culture of the University of Navarra) is immersed since April 2021 in the virtualdiploma holder in the Golden Age offered by the University of Piura (Peru), with a planned duration of 10 months, distributed in 10 subjects.

Prof. Miguel Zugasti, director of diploma holder, states that the goal of the course is to explore and identify the most significant cultural manifestations of the so-called Golden Age -literature, painting, music, science...- and their reception, both in Spain and in the American viceroyalties. The Study program consists of two semesters, in the first of which Professor Rocío García Bourrellier is in charge of introducing student into the golden world with the subject "Introduction to the Golden Age". She is followed by Prof. Miguel Zugasti, who opens the curtain on the "Teatro del Siglo de Oro". Dr. Silvia Cazalla gives precise details on "The Sevillian school of painting in the Golden Age: from Velázquez to Valdés Leal", while Professor Daniel Docampo dissects various issues related to the scientific field in "Science in the Golden Age". Finally, Ana Zúñiga Lacruz unveils the ins and outs of the research in the aforementioned disciplines with her "Estrategias para investigar en el ámbito de las Humanities".

The second semester is opened by Prof. Enrique Banús (UDEP) with "The reception of the Golden Age". Dr. Miguel Zugasti reflects on the greatest work of Spanish and universal literature in "Aproximación al Quijote", subject which is complemented by an "Acercamiento a los textos poéticos áureos" at position by Dr. Covadonga Romero. Prof. J. Javier Azanza focuses on the aulic painters with "La pintura del Siglo de Oro en la corte". The diploma holder closes with "Music in the Golden Age", subject given by Prof. Sergio Portilla Arriola (PUCP).

The diploma holder en el Siglo de Oro launched by TriviUN at partnership with the UDEP is the only international diploma holder in Peru devoted entirely to this prolific period of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries.
