A hundred professionals take part in the 12th ISCR Course update
The program was closed by the Bishop of Plasencia.
During the last week of August, about one hundred school principals, religion teachers, catechists and other interested persons from different cities of Spain participated in the XII Course of update of the high school Superior of Religious Sciences (ISCR) of the University of Navarra. Amadeo Rodríguez Magro, Bishop of Plasencia, participated in the closing ceremony.
The program focused on current theological and pedagogical issues. Among other topics were the Jubilee Year of Mercy, public opinion as a risk and opportunity for freedom, the new arguments of scientific atheism, politics and religion in Islam, and what St. Teresa says to Christians in the 21st century.
The theoretical sessions were held at position by professors from the University of Navarra: Mónica Herrero and María Noguera, from the School of Communication; Mercedes Vázquez de Prada, from the School de Philosophy and Letters; Sonia Lara, from the Education and Psychologyand Rafael García of Law. The Ecclesiastical Schools were represented by professors Santiago Ausín, María Isabel León, Pablo Marti and Javier Sesé (Theology)Jorge Otaduy (Canon Law) and Javier Sánchez Cañizares from group of research Science, Reason and Faith (CRYF).
Those attending the Course at update could also enjoy a visit to visit to the University of Navarra Museum.
