Last Monday, September 30, the President of the University of Navarra, Alfonso Sánchez-Tabernero, traveled to Torun (Poland) to meet with the President of the Nicolaus Copernicus University, Andzrej Tretyn, and sign a agreement framework that ratifies the already existing relationship between both universities, opening the door to more types of cooperation.

One of the first fruits of this partnership is the periodical publication of the interdisciplinary scientific journal "Scientia et Fides", whose goal is to make known, in a rigorous way, the work of research that is carried out in the field of relations between science and religion. It is directed by Piotr Roszak, Adjunct Professor of the School of Theology of the University of Navarra and of the Nicolás Copérnico University, and by Javier Sánchez Cañizares, secretary of group of research "Ciencia Razón y Fe" (CRYF) of the University of Navarra.

"The celebration of this happy event is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the importance of the multidisciplinarity in the activity carried out in universities. It is well known that this concept currently provides one of the main directives for the general policy of teaching and research in the academic world," he notes. Alfonso Sánchez-Tabernero in his greeting published in the first issue of "Scientia et Fides".

The journal is biannual and is offered with free access to its contents through the open access digital platform of the University of Torun. Some of them are in Polish, others in English and others in Spanish.
