39 University students awarded scholarships for international internships
Caja Rural de Navarra and Career Services have awarded the Global Internship Program grants.
39 students from the University of Navarra have received the scholarships that Caja Rural grants at partnership with Career Services of the academic center for international internships. The submission took place at Institute for Culture and Society (ICS), at campus in Pamplona.
The students from Navarra, the Basque Country and La Rioja selected in the seventh edition of the Global Internship Program come from different Schools of the university institution, and have spent their stays in ten non-EU countries: Argentina, Chile, China, Colombia, USA, Philippines, India, Indonesia, Mexico and Vietnam.
The certificates were presented by the University of Navarra's Alumni Vice President , Tomás Gómez-Acebo, Caja Rural's Institutional Relations director , Ricardo Goñi, and Career Services' executive director , Roberto Cabezas.
The Vice President said a few words to congratulate the scholarship recipients and explained that the internships meet the objectives of employment and international outreach to which the University is committed. He also took the opportunity to thank the generosity of Caja Rural: "In times of crisis and difficulties, private initiative can favor talent".
Experience in BaliNext, Silvia Larripa, a student who received a scholarship last year, shared her experience at the Popo Danes architecture studio in Bali. "I am part of a great group with a lot of luck, who one day received an email saying yes. That we could look for the internships we wanted wherever we wanted," she told the attendees. The final-year student affirms that this experience has changed her: "We grew professionally and personally. The different ways of thinking about architecture, of living and communicating, as well as the attention of the people are undoubtedly part of the learning process in every way.
The Global Internship Program aims to promote internships for university students in foreign companies and promote its internationalization. For the selection of interns, the academic transcript , the level of language of the host country, the curriculum vitae and the quality of the work plan offered by the host business were taken into account.
