These articles now published "constitute a good sample of the breadth of his topics of research and the depth of his thought," write professors Ion Borobia and Eduardo Terrasa in the introduction to the book. "They do not gather all the richness of his teachings, but only those aspects that he was basing in a more academic way".

And they point out the fundamental lines of Don Miguel's thought: a reading of Romano Guardini staff Romano Guardini which in him was characterized "by a solid historical matrix, due to his academic training and his interest in history, which he never abandoned; the Christological foundation of his reflections; a special sensitivity towards "the process of secularization of Western society" and his vital passion: "he had an epic attitude towards the events and problems of life, which gave his speech a vibrant intensity and, at the same time, a joyful and pleasant tone. In him, thought and life were indissolubly united".

The hitherto unpublished text, published for the first time in this book, is degree scroll: "Logic of dominion or service: a theological reflection on power".
