More than seventy benefactors of the CARF Foundationquotation came to Pamplona to visit the CARF facilities and share a series of activities with teachers and students of the Clínica Universidad de Navarra and to share a series of activities with teachers and students of the Schools Ecclesiastical, in thehigh school Bidasoa International Ecclesiastical.

This meeting was an opportunity to meet those seminarians and priests to whom financial aid is sent to fill in his training. Those in charge of the CARF Foundation gave the students - who received the diaconate in March and are now returning to their countries of origin - cases containing vestments and sacred vessels, so that they can celebrate Holy Mass. Their easy portability makes this gift very much appreciated by the future priests who serve their parishioners in the remotest parts of the world on an itinerant basis.

The CARF Foundation was born under the impulse of Monsignor Alvaro del Portillo, who will be beatified in Madrid on September 27.Alvaro del Portillo, who will be beatified in Madrid on September 27. It has as mission statement to help the training of priests and seminarians from the five continents. It has ten thousand active benefactors, who contribute with their donations to the achievement of this goal.

In its 25-year history, more than 13,500 students from 122 countries have benefited from its grants to study at programs of study at Schools in the University of Navarra in Pamplona and at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome.  

During the 2013-14 academic year, the CARF Foundation allocated more than 600,000 euros in grants to the Schools Ecclesiastics of the University of Navarra.
