Ángela Vicedo, student of the Master's Degree of research, development and Medication Innovation (MIDI) of the School of Pharmacy of the University of Navarra, has received the Five Star Universitycertificate awarded by the Miguel Hernández University of Elche. This award accredits the comprehensive training , in different areas, of the students who finished their programs of study last year.

Vicedo, who studied Pharmacy at the Alicante academic center, is currently doing the postgraduate program at the University of Navarra. On the occasion of the award, he wanted to tell us about his experience in the MIDI that he is about to finish:

First of all, what does it mean to you to have received the award?
The recognition was a joy, it is something very special because it comes from the University where you studied. It fills you with satisfaction, because for the "Five Stars" they value the student as a whole, not only the academic grade but also the interest, motivation, the realization of internships, trips abroad, language level, social work...

How did you learn about MIDI?
Initially, through two alumnae of Master's Degree who were classmates at degree program. Then, I became interested and came to learn about the masters at area in Science. The following year I started the MIDI because it fit my interests and covered the areas where I want to direct my professional future.

What status are you on?
Now we are starting with the Master's Thesis (TFM). From June to December I will be doing mine at the Madrid branch of the Polish business ADAMED Laboratorios S. L. U., within the department Regulatory Affairs.

What will be your job there?
The Regulatory Affairs department is in charge, for example, of drug registrations, attention with the Medicines Agency or pharmacovigilance.

How did you decide to do your TFM at business?
It is one of the possibilities offered by the MIDI and it is where I wanted to direct my professional career. The good thing about this Master's Degree is that it gives you a complete vision of the pharmaceutical profession, because you financial aid to deepen in knowledge that in the degree program are hardly treated. For example, the industry, for me, was the great unknown in the degree program and here I have been able to introduce myself in this professional profile , which is the one I like. The MIDI gives you an approach to the business proposing you a project that can be similar to a real status and, thus, you already know what it is to face this test that, in final, represents the work you can carry out in the future, as in my case in the area of Regulatory.
