The Dean of the SchoolIgnacio Ferrero welcomed the 280 first-year students from 25 countries. During the introductory session on September 3, the Dean encouraged students to participate in extracurricular activities and to take advantage of the training opportunities offered by the University of Navarra. "The days go by very slowly, but the years fly by. Don't be in a hurry to go out into the job market. Make the most of your college years, because the years you have at training are very few compared to the years of your professional life," Ferrero said.

On the other hand, the Dean wanted to emphasize the international outreach of the School: "The international first-year students are already about 42% of the student body, that is a lot in a country where the average is 4%". This is the case of Emiliano Kronfle, student first-year Degree in Economics + Leadership and Governance Program (ELG)who comes from Guayaquil (Ecuador). Kronfle learned about the University through his older brother, a third-year Marketing student at School Communication, and says that one of his biggest dreams is to be able to work in the diplomatic representation of his country in Spain.

During the workshop, the first-year students were also able to have a first meeting with their academic advisors where, in addition to having a snack, they were able to exchange impressions and contacts. Also, in this first semester of the course, the newcomers will share classrooms with the 154 new students of exchange, coming from 64 universities from 33 different countries, among which stand out for the issue of students: USA, Canada, France, Germany, Singapore and Holland.
