Catalina Trigo and Begoña Senosiáin, new delegate and subdelegate of Education and Psychology.
The new delegates seek to give greater value to Psychology and to Education and to define the identity of the School

Last Monday, September 26th, the elections for delegate and subdelegate of the School of Education and Psychology. After a round of presentations and proposals by the candidates, the students wanted their representatives to be Catalina Trigo (3rd Double Degree in Education Primary and Pedagogy) as delegate; and Begoña Senosiáin, (4th Double Degree in Pedagogy and Primary) as subdelegate.
1.- What made you decide to present yourselves as student representatives?
CATALINA TRIGO: I believe that our School needs to demonstrate to the rest of the university students that our degree program is not a 'paint and color' one. In order for Education and psychology to be properly valued, it is important that we ourselves believe in the importance, influence and contribution that our School has for the university and society. Moreover, as I have already conveyed to the delegates of all courses, this "position" is a team work where everyone has equal value and contribution.
BEGOÑA SENOSIAIN: Being in my last year, I have felt the urge to get as involved as possible in School, and to be able to encourage the rest of the students and future students to take advantage of and enjoy university life as much as I am doing.
2.- What does it mean to you to have been chosen?
TC: Being able to integrate myself much more thoroughly in the School, having a greater sense of responsibility before the programs of study and university affairs and, above all, helping all my colleagues to promote any idea, initiative or project that they have in mind and that enriches our knowledge and experiences.
BS: I am proud to be able to represent the students of School. On the one hand, being able to help others is always a reason for gratitude. On the other hand, representing student body will also have an impact on me, as I want to improve myself in both academic and personal aspects, and thus serve as an example to others.
3.- What are your objectives?
TC: To give greater value to psychology and to Education; and to be able to help the students of our School to put their initiatives and projects on internship .
BS: To ensure that School achieves the prestige it truly deserves. Let it be noticed, let it serve as an example, since the people who are part of it are future educators and psychologists, and the training of tomorrow's people depends on our work. I think it is a good step to start with us, the students, to ensure that the true value of Education is known and recognized in society.
4.- What needs do you see in School and how do you think a solution could be proposed?
CT: The main thing is that it has to make itself much better known, because it is true that it is, if I am not mistaken, the youngest School of the University of Navarra. It has many quality activities, projects, etc. that can enrich university life. In addition, I believe that the student body itself should be much more involved, since they are the ones who really know what their interests are, and what our School really needs.
BS: Being the youngest, we have not yet defined our identity as School. We must take advantage of this to become a relevant center, using the close and familiar environment that we have among us, since it facilitates greater involvement to achieve our objectives.
5.- In the end you are the intermediary between School and student body. How are you going to organize yourselves to coordinate and transmit the messages to the interested parties?
CT: In order to be able to be coordinated and to be able to transmit information, I think the most important thing is that everyone counts on the fact that we are a team. A team that also counts on the support and financial aid of the delegates of other courses, Office of the Dean, and faculty.
BS: The relationship we have between students and teachers is fluid and constant, which allows communication to be natural and transparent. Therefore, the transmission of messages, advice, concerns, doubts and ideas should not be a problem at all.
