Carmen Pinillos, new AITENSO board member for Europe and Asia
The association International Spanish and Novo-Hispanic Theater of the Golden Age (AITENSO) elected the professor on October 23rd.
Carmen Pinillos, full professor at department of Philology of the University of Navarra and researcher at group of research Siglo de Oro(GRISO), participated in the XVII congress of the association International Spanish and Novo-Hispanic Theater of the Golden Age (AITENSO), held at Queens College of the City University of New York (CUNY) from October 20 to 23. The congress was closed with the Assembly of the association, in which Professor Pinillos was elected board member for Europe and Asia.
Professor Pinillos participated in the congress with the discussion paper "Las tablas y la imprenta en la mobility de las piezas breves: a purpose de unas loas sacramentales", where she outlined the route and the changes suffered by two of these pieces of Calderonian short plays, during more than half a century. This discussion paper is inscribed in the framework of the research carried out by the professor in the field of the Auto sacramental calderoniano, a genre to which she has been especially dedicated and in which she is a specialist. It is also administrative assistant of the Collection of Sacramental Plays that GRISO publishes with publishing house Reichenberger.
The New York meeting was sponsored by AITENSO and co-organized by several universities and institutions such as CUNY, Hispanic Society of America, Americas Society, Syracuse University, high school Cervantes, Sarah Lawrence College, California State University (Fullerton), Messiah College, Nassau Community College, University of South Dakota.
