Alberto N. García traveled to Colombia where he presented his research activity at a seminar of professors of the University of Medellin. In addition, he presented the discussion paper 'Sympathy for the devil: seriality and antiheroism' at the conference Unisabana Ágora of the Universidad de la Sabana (Medellín and Bogotá, Colombia, 24/10/2019).

Creativity and Cultural Heritage

Inés Olza participated in the conference of programs of study 'Annotation and exploitation of oral corpora', organized by the group ESLORA of the University of Santiago de Compostela in the framework of the network Temática de Excelencia en Análisis del speech (FFI2017-90738-REDT) of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, (Santiago de Compostela, 3-4/10/2019).

Javier Sánchez Cañizares participated in the discussion of the XIV edition of the seminar Internacional de language y Periodismo 'El español y las máquinas: lenguaje, ética y periodismo', (San Millán de la Cogolla, 03/10/2019).

ATLANTES Programme
Carlos Centeno y Eduardo Garralda traveled to Georgia to work with ten international experts on the implementation of international standards for palliative care in Georgia. topic The 2nd International Symposium on Palliative Care, organized by the Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and the National Palliative Care association at partnership with the association World Medical Association, which was holding its general assembly in the country, also focused on this topic. María Arantzamendi participated in the Workshop 'The end of life as an object of study multidisciplinary', organized by the high school of programs of study Advanced Social and the network of research on the End of Life, with the communication 'Compassion and dignity at the end of life', (Cordoba, 17-18/10/2019).

Religion and Civil Society

Raquel Cascales delivered the paper 'Art and urban regeneration. Street Art as an instrument of social transformation' together with Professor Esperanza Marrodán at the VI Iberian Aesthetics meeting 'Art and Society', organized by the Spanish Society of Aesthetics at the University of Coímbra, (Coímbra, Portugal, 24-26/10/2019).

Javier García Manglano Attended the 'Artificial Intelligence - Young Resarchers Conference' organized by Harvard University (Boston, USA, 11-12/10/2019).

Jesús López Fidalgo attended various activities in Madrid at the beginning of the month:

• A meeting on the high school of Engineering of the knowledge at the campus of the Autonomous University of Madrid (3/10/2019).

• To the submission of awards of the BBVA Foundation and the Spanish Royal Society of Mathematics, (3/10/2019).

• To a meeting with the University Secretary of Science Policy Coordination at the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, (4/10/2019).

•  To the meeting with the National Mathematics Commission at the Complutense de Madrid, Madrid, (17/10/2019).

On the other hand, he participated in a roundtable in the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the degree program of mathematics at the University of Salamanca, (Salamanca, 5/10/2019).
