Celia Sequeira wins the bronze medal at the Spanish Taekwondo Club Championships
The representative of the University of Navarra lost in the semifinals to the future winner of her category, Celia Tortosa from Madrid.
The student of the University of Navarra Celia Sequeira has won the bronze medal this past weekend during the celebration of the Spanish Taekwondo Club Championship, which has been held in Gandía. The representative of the University of Navarra Club won the metal in the female senior category of -53 kgs. after beating the Valencian Sarah Pedreño in the quarterfinals.
However, in the semifinals she couldn't beat Celia Tortosa from Madrid and lost by a tight 7-5. It was precisely her rival in this round who won the final by beating the Basque Nuria Amezcua by a resounding 10-1.
On the other hand, in the junior male category, Mikel Pérez Cobos participated representing the University of Navarra, although he did not have the same luck and was unable to pass the first round.
