Alfonso BerlangaProfessor of Liturgy at the School of Theology of the University of Navarra has edited "Adorar a Dios en la liturgia" (Worshipping God in the Liturgy), published by EUNSA. The book is a choral work consisting of 15 chapters, in which authors, coming from the most diverse spiritualities, try to answer questions such as "What does it really mean to worship God?" or whether "Is it necessary to insist on the worship of a God whom we do not see?".

These are questions that undoubtedly challenge not only the baptized, but also those who discover within themselves the question of meaning. From the particular perspective of the human sciences, passing through theological work, to some forms of Christian liturgy, the authors of this work offer an articulate and sufficient response.

"Adoring God in the Liturgy" is a book of high knowledge dissemination where the reader will find a map and the necessary instruments to interpret it, as well as those practical indications that allow him to go through it in his daily life. "Particularly in every Mass - affirms Professor Juan Miguel Ferrer in the presentation- but also before the Tabernacle, the Ciboria or the Monstrance, in those savory moments of our life of union with the Lord that give meaning and impel all our Christian life".

Throughout its more than 300 pages, and in the line traced by Pope Francis and his predecessor, Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI, the book starts from "What does God expect from us?" and challenges the reader to be aware that his main attitude in a liturgical celebration is to listen and be open to the desire to fulfill God's will.

In addition to Javier Viver, artist and sculptor, the authors of this book come from the Abbey of Montserrat. Abbey of Montserratthe Pious Disciples of the Divine Master (PDDM) of Toledo, the Ecclesiastical University of San Damasothe Pontifical Athenaeum of St. Anselm in Urbe (Rome), the Pontifical Lateran University (Rome), the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross (Rome) and the University of Navarra.

The book now published is the first fruit of a line of research opened by Professor Alfonso Berlanga at the School of Theology of the University of Navarra.
