Alberto Pérez Mediavilla, Dean new Dean the School of Science

Alberto Pérez-Mediavilla holds graduate 1988) and a Ph.D. (1993) in Biology from the University. He is a professor of Biochemistry Molecular Biology in the Degree , of Cell Signaling in the Biochemistry Degree Biochemistry of Metabolism in the HumanDegree and DieteticsDegree . He has served as Associate Dean Office of Academic Affairs the School of Science (2021–23) and Associate Dean Student Affairs (2009–18) at the School of Pharmacy and Nutrition. He serves on theadvisor committee advisor the School of Medicine for the implementation of the integrated curriculum and has served director Diploma Sports Nutrition at the School of Pharmacy and Nutrition. In 1995 and 1998, he was visiting professor the National Eye Institute (National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Maryland, United States)

researcher of Cima since 2004, his research field focuses on the identification of therapeutic targets for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease.
