Mons. Heredia, doctor por la Facultad de Derecho Canónico, es nombrado prelado auditor del Tribunal de la Rota Romana

Monsignor Felipe Heredia Esteban, doctor from School of Canon Law of the University of Navarra, has been appointed by Benedict XVI as prelate auditor of the Tribunal of the Roman Rota.
position The new judge of the Tribunal of the Roman Rota, 50 years old, until now held the position of judge of the Tribunal of the Rota of the Apostolic Nunciature in Madrid. He was ordained a priest in Rome in 1987 by Pope John Paul II. He obtained from the University of Navarra the Degrees of graduate in Canon Law and in Civil Law, in 1986 and 1987, respectively. He defended his doctoral thesis in Canon Law, at the same campus, in 1997.
Monsignor Heredia belongs to the Diocese of Calahorra and La Calzada-Logroño, where he served as Secretary of the Ecclesiastical Tribunal from 1992 to 1999, when he was appointed Judicial Vicar of the diocese. In 2007 he left position to become a judge of the Tribunal de la Rota of the Apostolic Nunciature in Madrid. In Logroño he also served as teaching of the Canon Law at seminar, from 1994 to 2005.
