The first workshop of this VIII edition of the Master's Degree began with a few words of welcome by the dean and professor of the School, Concepción Naval; who focused her speech on the importance of better understanding the relationship between Education and society: "the great challenge is to find a good relationship between the two" - and added: "The University fulfills its mission statement when we know how to see the last neighborhood of a city as a recipient of the influence of the university".

He also insisted on the need to innovate, encouraging the search for quality in the teaching; and to promote entrepreneurship, so as to "help in the training of citizens who actively participate in society".

On the other hand, the dean also stressed the importance of development of an international Education that allows them to open up to other realities, and - linked to this idea - wanted to add the need to promote a mobility and promote partnerships between public and private institutions. On this point, he appealed to the importance of having a "broad mentality to assess needs in the Study program".

Professor Elena Arbués, who is making her debut this year as director of the master's program, encouraged the students to take advantage of this experience and to enrich each other, to take advantage of "multiculturalism", and to emphasize the responsibility that comes with the training of people: "Students need real teachers, who do not forget that teaching is not simply a communication of content".
