Los Premios 'Vida Universitaria' se entregaron a los ganadores de los concursos de Actividades Culturales
The 'University Life' Awards were presented to the winners of the Cultural Activities Office competitions.
The President, Ángel J. Gómez Montoro, the Vice President of Alumni, María Iraburu, and the Director of Cultural Activities Office, Marta Revuelta, presented the awards together with Ana Frías, General Manager the Instituto Navarro de la Juventud.
The winners of the Cultural Activities Office of the University of Navarra received their awards at the I Vida Universitaria Awards Gala. The President, Ángel J Gómez Montoro; the Vice President for Alumni, María Iraburu; the director of the Cultural Activities Office, Marta Revuelta; and the General Manager the Navarre Youth Institute, Ana Frías, presented the awards for Short Story and Poetry in Spanish and Basque, as well as the awards to the winners of the Humor Strip Contest, and paid tribute to the already known winners of the Pinchos Contest and the XII Pop-rock-singer-songwriters competition .
Daniel Mata, with his work 1937, won the first award in the Short Story Contest in Spanish; and Josep Roca, author of Pequeña Antología, Raquel Cascales, of Nueva Vida, and Sergio Navarro, of Los sueños de Ulises, were runners-up in the Poetry ContestSpanish), whose first award was not awarded.
Naiara Sánchez Inda received the first award in Poetry (Basque) for Ametsak irensten dituen putzu ilunean and Maialen Monte obtained a second prize for Gure aitari; the Short Story Contest in the Basque modality was declared void. In the Humor Strip Contest, Miguel Ángel Rojo received the first award for Fumar a menos de 20 metros de la entrance de centros educativos and the second award went to Pedro Antonio de la Rosa for Amor en el campus.

Finally, the awards were submission to the well-known winners of the Pinchos and Pop-rock-singer-songwriters contests, Carlos Pacheco and the group Maranatá, respectively.
The 'Vida Universitaria' awards were presented in an event full of humor thanks to the mimes Mimou&Colette, the students Pablo Blanco and Emilia Armijo, who presented the gala. Also contributing to the entertainment of the Cultural Activities Office awards submission were the students of the group La Compañía who performed the sainete "El cuartito de hora", along with the performances of the Chamber Choir and Orchestra and the group Maranatá.
National literary contests
During this academic year, the Cultural Activities Office area of the University of Navarra has organized the XII edition of the Short Story, Poetry and Pop-rock-singer-songwriters contests. The literary contests have counted with the participation of 107 and 60 university students in Short Story and Poetry, respectively, and for the first time have been disseminated nationally.
Likewise, the II edition of the Pinchos Contest has also been held with the participation of 23 gastronomic proposals that 840 students voted through the Internet and from which the 5 finalists of the contest emerged. In this sense, the musical contest 'Pop-rock-singer-songwriters' had 11 groups and soloists in the semifinals, of which four groups and two soloists passed to the final phase: 'Sin Dirección', 'Asuntos Serios', 'Rodrigo Fre', 'Jackie Torres', 'Marataná' and 'Six Miles Wide'.
