Cardinal Erdö re-elected to preside over European bishops

Cardinal Péter Erdõ, Archbishop of Esztergom-Budapest, has been elected for a second term as president of the committee of the Bishops' Conferences of Europe (CCEE). Cardinal Peter Erdö will be invested honorary doctor by the University of Navarra on October 27, together with Full Professor Joseph H.H. Weiler and the artist Antonio López.
The CCEE is composed of the Presidents of the 33 Episcopal Conferences in Europe and the Archbishops of Luxembourg, of the Principality of Monaco, of Cyprus of the Maronites, of the Bishop of Chisinau (Rep. Moldova) and of the Eparchial Bishop of Mukachevo. The President of the Kazakh Episcopal lecture and the Patriarch of Jerusalem of the Latins, who have the status of permanent guests, are also attending.
