The ICS of the University of Navarra in the 2017-2018 academic year: 74 people of 17 nationalities.

This year there are seven visiting researchers from six countries and 76 external collaborators from 21 nations.

The team of the Institute for Culture and Society team is made up of 74 people from 17 countries: Argentina, Belgium, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Denmark, Spain, India, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Portugal, United Kingdom, Dominican Republic, Romania, Russia and Syria.

On the other hand, this academic year has seven visiting researchers from Canada, USA, Spain, Holland, Italy and United Kingdom, 72 collaborators from different Schools of the University and 76 external collaborators from 21 countries.

On the occasion of the beginning of the school year, the high school held an opening ceremony. Jaime García del Barrio reviewed some data of the previous academic year . Regarding scientific activity, he mentioned that 18 monographs and 64 scientific articles were published in 2016.

He also pointed out that 136 activities were held during the year, including five international congresses and workshops. On the other hand, researchers and collaborators participated in nearly 250 academic activities in centers in 36 countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and America. In addition, five members of the team made stays at research at universities in Germany, the USA, Italy, Mexico and the United Kingdom.

Regarding the priorities for the 2017-2018 academic year, Jaime García del Barrio stressed the importance of continuing to advance the scientific and social impact of research and publications, around the common topic of 'development andsocial links'. He also encouraged researchers to continue fostering the multidisciplinarity and to cultivate the International Office, especially the links with Latin America.
