The professors of School of Theology Enrique Molina y Ramiro Pellitero will receive the Silver Medal of the University in recognition of their 25 years of dedication. The submission will take place on January 28, the feast of St. Thomas Aquinas.
Todoctoral dissertations
thesis Two doctoral dissertations were defended at the School Eclesiastica de Philosophy. Rubén Herce presented a research entitled 'Roger Penrose's proposal Heuristics. In Search of the instructions of Consciousness'.. Professor Herce has joined the School as teaching assistant of Philosophy of Science.
For its part, the work of Crispus Kinuthia Kinyanjui dealt with'The Metaphysics of the divine creation. A consideration of the First Principles of Creation in Aquinas'..
Activities outside the campus
José Ángel García Cuadrado participated in the VI congress International Iberoamerican Society of Medieval Philosophy (SOFIME)held in Salamanca. He presented a paper entitled "The Suaretian reception of the scholastic doctrine of delayed animation".
He also intervened in the congress Causality, Nature and Freedom in the transition from the leave Age average to Modernity'.held at the University of Navarra, with the discussion paper 'La causalidad del entendimiento en la gnoseología de Francisco Suárez"'.
José Antonio Fuentes was board member of the scientific committee of the international congress 'The 1983 Code. Balance and perspectives 30 years after its enactment'.organized in Madrid by the School of Canon Law of the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (UPC).
In this activity of the UPC, Antonio Viana read the discussion paper 'Selected Questions on the development of the hierarchical organization of the Church since the 1983 CIC'.
Félix María Arocena gave a speech at lecture 'Some articulations of Faith in the Missale Hispano-Mozarabicum' in the workshop 'Fidem, qua corde credimus'.organized in the seminar Mayor of Toledo by the classroom of programs of study Hispano-Mozarabic and the San Ildefonso Theological Institute.
Juan Ignacio Ruiz Aldaz gave three sessions at CSET, the programs of study theology center of seminar Diocesan of Pamplona. He focused on the 'Civic-political worship and Christian apologetics in imperial Rome'.
José María Pardo offered a seminar addressed to a group of researchers from area of bioengineering at CEIT in San Sebastian. He addressed the ethics of research and prenatal diagnosis.
