Investiture of 23 doctors of the University of Navarra's Ecclesiastical Schools , from 6 countries
The godfather of the promotion of the 200 new doctors of the campus was the professor of the School of Theology Antonio Aranda.
The University of Navarra has celebrated the investiture of 200 new doctors, who have defended their thesis in the academic center since June 2010. 23 of them belong to the Schools Ecclesiastics: 15 of Theology, 6 of Ecclesiastics of Philosophy and 2 of Canon Law. They come from Spain, Mexico, Philippines, Peru, Chile, Cameroon, Ecuador, Guatemala, Portugal, Uruguay and Poland.
The sponsor of the graduating class was Antonio Aranda, professor at School of Theology. Recalling John Paul II, he called for the elaboration of a "creative Christian thought" to answer the question of what man is: "A thought of these characteristics - which is always intellectually attractive, as the history of European culture testifies - calls for exchange of reflections, multidisciplinarity, between theology, Philosophy and the sciences".
Thus, he exhorted Christian intellectuals to feel challenged by this task and to "accept this great challenge from their own field staff and professionally".
