The professor from Centro Universitario Villanueva de Madrid gave a session at the Master's Degree Universitario at academic staff
Ana Mª Romero Iribas, assistant director of Office of Academic Affairs of area of Education of the Villanueva University Center in Madrid, stated that in order to "make our own life, we need imagination: to project our own life, to anticipate the future".
Professor Romero came to the University of Navarra to give the session 'Imagination and human life' in the course 'The formative value of the Philosophy and of the Humanities, of the Master's Degree in academic staff. In her presentation, she explained to future secondary school teachers that, "as educating is helping to grow, the good educator has to see in his students what they can become; and, for that, he needs a generous imagination that he can and must develop".
Romero Iribas stressed the particular responsibility of teachers in this task of Education of students' imagination, since it is part not only of their emotional Education , but above all of their intellectual Education : "Imagination is a way of knowledge of the world. Rationality cannot be conceived apart from imagination," he asserted.
