More than 100 students participate in the regional phase of the Biology Olympiad

The students of high school diploma will answer 75 questions subject test and one question from development on the science syllabus.

More than 100 students from high school diploma will participate this Wednesday, February 8, in the regional phase of the Biology Olympiad, which will be held at 4 p.m. in the Chestnut Building of the University of Navarra.

Coming from 25 schools in the Autonomous Community of Navarre, the 1st and 2nd year students will have three hours to answer 75 test questions and one question on the science syllabus. high school diploma will have three hours to answer 75 questions subject test and one question from development on the science syllabus, which covers Biochemistry (20%), Evolution and Diversity (10%), Cytology (15%), Metabolism (15%), Histology, Physiology and Anatomy Animal (20%), Reproduction and Genetics (15%) and Microbiology and Immunity (5%).

The students classified in first, second and third place will represent Navarra in the national phase of the Olympiad, to be held from March 22 to 25, 2012 in Murcia. Likewise, the 4th and 9th place winners, both inclusive, will receive a special accredited specialization from the School of Sciences.

The submission of the accreditation diplomas is scheduled for March 14 at 5:00 pm.

Likewise, participants will have the possibility of taking the exam in Basque.
